Access 1st provides Assessments of Need, Specialist Advice and Support for Disabled Students in Higher Education.
We are student-centred and work co-operatively with Students and Disability Advisers to make the process of accessing DSA funded support as prompt and as simple as possible.
Convenient Location:
- Central London - opposite St James’s Park underground station.
- Parking - although there is designated parking, this is expensive and it is not always easy to find spaces.
Prompt:
- Appointments available within 1-2 working days;
- Needs Assessment Reports ordinarily completed in 5 working days;
Approachable and Reliable:
- Students can contact us for advice and support regarding DSA related matters for the duration of the programme of study.
- After the assessment, we work to facilitate the smooth implementation of equipment and Non-Medical Helper services.
- We offer specialist assistive technology training to ensure that students can get the best out of the equipment and software recommended;
- We work with real time feedback from support providers and students, so that details or queries can be attended to quickly and effectively.
